Revelstoke Cat Skiing

Take Your BC Ski Adventure

After experiencing the adrenaline and deep powder of White Grizzly Cat Skiing, why not extend your stay with a backcountry adventure that puts your own strength and skill to the test? White Grizzly, in partnership with Kootenay Backcountry Guides, offers professionally guided ski touring and splitboarding trips through some of BC’s most pristine and untouched wilderness. It's the perfect way to complement your cat skiing Revelstoke experience or elevate your winter escape before or after your stay at White Grizzly.

Why Add Ski Touring to Your Cat Ski Trip?

Ski touring offers a refreshing contrast to the fast-paced nature of cat skiing. Instead of riding a snowcat to the top, you’ll earn your turns climbing skin tracks through quiet forests and wide-open alpine terrain. It’s a chance to fully immerse yourself in the backcountry, far from the crowds and machines, and explore new zones that lie beyond White Grizzly’s regular cat skiing boundaries.

The terrain is completely separate from the cat ski zones, giving you fresh powder and a new perspective. Whether you’re a seasoned backcountry rider or someone trying touring for the first time, our guides can tailor the experience to your pace and ability level.

How the Touring Program Works

Based out of nearby Nelson, BC, ski touring trips are available as single or multi-day adventures. Small group sizes (2–5 guests) ensure a focused, flexible experience. Need gear? No problem rental equipment is available, and our team will help you prepare for your trip. Book your touring dates when reserving your White Grizzly package or contact us afterward we’ll do our best to accommodate your schedule.

Looking to Build Skills? Go Further with AST Courses

Want to boost your confidence and capability in the backcountry? Kootenay Backcountry Guides also offers Avalanche Safety Training (AST) courses, hut-based touring, and iconic ski traverses throughout the Canadian Rockies and beyond. It’s a chance to not only enjoy deeper terrain but to do it with greater knowledge, safety, and independence.
